[ Tyr has been restless lately. Wandering the City aimlessly, jumping from activity to activity when he's not just out on the beach fishing.
But he's out on the beach right now, wrapped in his cloak and scarf with an embarrassing hat on his head, and fishing. For the most part, he's just staring out at the sea blankly with the rod sitting in his

What are you trying to do, retrieve something that fell in?

Another man greets the fisherman suddenly and breaks the silence by asking if he had lost something. Tyr, knowing the other man had lost his memories, corrects him.

There do appear to be a lot of fish down there, but they don’t have any interest in your string. They just keep swimming by it.
Wouldn’t it be easier to just buy a fish?

Eagle points out to his poor fishing skills to him. As a result, Tyr sticks his rod in the sand to idle.
It's a sport. I want to catch one to eat, but if they don't bite, it doesn't really matter to me.

Eagle himself steps away from the edge of the water to avoid the lapping waves. ]
Would it work better if you had a weapon of some kind?

At that question, Tyr reels in his like to show a little, metal hook that glints in the sunlight. ]
There is a "weapon". The hook's the weapon; it stabs the fish's mouth and lets you catch it.
Reply
[A small metal hook for a fish like that? ]
I was thinking more along the lines of something like this.
[A laser that appears from a holster at a thought is much better for catching… and pre-cooking… your caught fish, isn’t it? ]

What is that?

Some… kind of light… sword, I suppose?
[Only then does he notice Tyr’s continued narrations on the Network. ]
Are you keeping a diary of everything that happens today?
Reply
Something like that... I wanted to try to keep people up-to-date on what was going on today.
[ And in case Rita ever came back, but he realised earlier that's it's very unlikely that she'd ever come back and even more unlikely that'd she'd read about him sitting on the beach fishing anyway.
But he's still compelled to write an update after responding to Eagle. ]
After speaking about fishing for a short time, the white-haired scientist drew out a sword. The blade only appeared after it was drawn out, and that blade was composed purely of light. It surprised Tyr, but in the end he had no explanation for how the weapon worked.
Instead, the man explained the purpose of his log to Eagle but omitted other personal reasons for maintaining it.

You don’t usually keep journals like this. Maybe it is something you have only recently decided to take up?
[And this he got before looking at the journal entry for confirmation… as But omitted other personal reasons for maintaining it seemed to be. ]

[ In a true display of sportsmanship, Tyr is leaning back on his hands as his rod sags a bit in the sand. Eagle can see first hand the riveting sport of "I'm fishing as an excuse to be alone". ]

[Riveting indeed. At least the string moves occasionally in the water. Eagle is quite used, even comfortable with long silences, Lantis often was a very quite person to be around. Still he… also often breaks those silences…]
I hadn’t thanked you yet, during that last curse you warned me that I wasn’t being myself.
Reply
Still, being reminded of that curse... Tyr doesn't exactly feel good. He slumps over a little, resting his arms over this knees to make a little pillow for his head. ]
Not that it did much good... It wasn't a curse that you could fight or could be reasoned with...
Reply
But… it did feel a little familiar.
[It had been a fleeting feeling. One that only manifested itself once the curse had run its course. A feeling almost like a vague deja vu, a shadow of things not quite remembered.
Eagle turns to smile at Tyr. The curse hadn’t been the best topic maybe but he had wanted to say this since the event happened. ]
I must be the kind of person who often needs to be yelled at?

It's easiest to just respond to the question, though. ]
Why do you say that?
