It's that time of the year again, the time for candy corn! And as I was perusing the holiday section at Target I noticed they are using that Japanese mascot Domo to promote Halloween candy. Anyway, they have these banners lining each of the shelves and it amused me muchly. Domo apparently enjoys candy corn as well hehe

Well, corn syrup :P And also honey and sugar. The best ever is to mix them in a bowl with some salty peanuts, it's like the perfect blend of sweet & salty. Yum.

So no actual corn kernels? What are they made of then? They look to me like mutant teeth.
Needless to say, you can't get them here.

Nope. It's just corn syrup, honey & sugar mostly. Some others are flavored with other things but those are the original. They're shaped to look like a piece of corn, I dunno why, maybe just so it looks like it was just harvested for the season or something, you know for holiday sake and all. They're really sweet, not something I at least can eat in large quantities at one time. But mixed with the peanuts, yum! Too bad you can't get any there :/

Are they hard? Chewy? Crumbly? *is intrigued*
Yes, they sound like an excellent thing to ruin one's teeth on. Whee.

They're soft. Do you have any mellowcreme type of candies? They're just like that. I'd say texture wise (but not taste or anything) the closest thing I can think of is maybe a jelly bean but a bit harder than that. They're really kind of a unique candy.
hehe indeed :D

Well they don't taste like pumpkin (but mmm pumpkin flavored things yum) they taste like candy corn but sweeter. Those just look like pumpkins but they make them in a variety of different designs for different times of the year.

hahah indeed *munches*
