Why rec'ed? This story is an awesome character study of John Sheppard from the POV of an OC Marine who just arrived in Atlantis. I love the OC and I love how we see John through his eyes. I love that despite the past events are only mentioned very vaguely, the reader knows what happened and how it was (not) dealed with it. This story is one of my comfort fics - I just can't put into words how much I love it and how awesome it is. *sorry*
