It's rare to find a plot rooted in science and medicine that doesn't get bogged down by all the terms and flows wonderfully into the story. John's gene is responsible for a rare and interesting disease that robs him of his ability to sleep. The results are an intense and emotional journey, the highlight being the wonderful relationship explored between John and Rodney especially after recent events of the “The Shrine”.
