How the Millers Relaxed... is a collection of vignettes of Rodney and John visiting the Millers and is told from Jeannie's POV. It follows Jeannie's evolving perception of her brother and subtly highlights the changes that the Pegasus galaxy has wrought in Rodney McKay.
I love Smiley's work. She packs a lot of punch into even the simplest story. She writes with a strong sense of loyalty. And most importantly, she loves to torture Rodney. While this is one of Smiley's mildest "torture Rodney" story, it is still filled with delicious angst. In addition, there is a name taking and ass kicking John Sheppard to round out the action. Protective!John is one of my favorite kinks, and this story cranks my kink meter way high. Hopefully, this will tickle some of your kink meters, too.
