Why This Must Be Read: It’s Janet/Teal’c, but don’t let that put you off. I wasn’t a Janet/Teal’c fan at first… and then Tricia asked me if I wanted to read her latest. I wasn’t sure, but I did anyway. And because Tricia is a bad influence, I got sucked into ANOTHER damn pairing! As for why you should read it. Tricia is an absolute master of.. well... everything. Her descriptions put you right there in the room, you can almost hear and see everything as if you were a fly on the wall or one of the characters. The characters feelings... are almost your feelings... It's not a quick, smutty "they done sex" and that's it. There's beautiful writing in this fic, which is so often lost in NC-17/smut fics for the sake of gratuitous sex!
It's the strangest pairing I think I read, and posibly one that I still think "its just not right" yet I read Tricia's "Medicinal purposes" and find myself thinking "oh they so are...". It's one of Tricia's best qualities as a writer- making you believe and think that things are really happening.
