Old Fic
I'm looking for this SG-1 fic I read years ago. It's short and I think it was mainly from Jack's perspective. He and Daniel get captured by evil aliens and Daniel's the only one who can understand their language. Eventually some sort of bargain is struck up where Jack believes he is going to be killed by the aliens in exchange for sparing Daniel's life. It turns out that actually Daniel lied to him and the aliens were going to kill both of them, but one of them would die quickly whilst the other would be slowly tortured to death. Daniel chooses himself to be the latter. Eventually they both get saved and they survive, but not before the aliens do terrible things to Daniel. It was a great hurt/comfort fic. Does anyone have a link? It's possible it's only accessible through the WayBack machine, but since I don't have a link and I don't remember the name, searching for this sucker is the worst. Can anybody help?
