Day 8 - Gifts and Different Cultures
Who knew that memories can fade so quickly without reminders. As I write this day's entry two days later, I am struck with the inability to remember to remember what occurred this day. Because of this, I am also struck by the ability to adapt to new routines. You go to a new place, you find a pattern and then quickly things in some way are ordinary. Well, that's enough deeper thoughts for now. What I do remember from this day is that I was able to find more gifts for my family and at the end of the day we went to see Thai dancing. I think there is great irony that we are watching Thai dancing in Mexico, but I've always loved the ironies of life. Unfortunately, another irony of this day is that I wanted to take alot of pictures; however, by forgetting to change the battery in my camera prevented me from taking any for this day.
