I really did not expect that...
Left work way late, and out this-a-way not much open late nights.
So dinner was 24 hour grocery store ready-to-eat ( which by this time of night is looking rather sad), tuna still in the can, or the 24 hour McDonalds.
Mom's TV has been showing many commercials for their current limited edition thing The Bacon Smokehouse Burger. On a whim I decided to try that instead of my usual.
Wow. That was a really good burger. I've had plenty of better burgers, but this was not orders of magnitude below them.
Possible explanations:
I'm was really really hungry.
It being McDonalds (and having tried some of their other 'innovations' in the past) my expectations were absurdly low.
OTOH two sandwiches, a large fries and a large shake meant I just spent 20 bucks for food at McDonalds. $20 at McDs????? (On the gripping hand, I'm _full_.)
Anyway. I can't say it is worth going out of your way but if you're anywhere near McDs and it is time for food, and you need a quick stop, absolutely worth trying.
