[[ Words of (unexpected) wisdom from our dear (adorable) Fab Five of rainbow happiness ]]
"I'm always laughing, but somewhere along the way, I started thinking that more so than laughing because I'm really happy, maybe I'll be happy if I'm laughing."

"I have yet to want to see what I’m like when I give of myself a full 100 percent. Even if I receive a gold medal for going at full throttle, I’m still not satisfied. Until the day I die, I would like to live like I’ve not arrived yet. That’s why I live for the sake of others, though it might look like I rely on others. Oh yes, that too, is a manifestation of my own ego…? (laughs).I lose interest when I do something for my own sake. In comparison, when I do something for “someone else”, it becomes a source of motivation. There are times when you feel like you want to do something for this person but don’t necessarily feel like you have to do it for yourself right?

"I did think about that when I debuted and even compared myself with the other members. I noticed things like, at the concerts, I was the only one with a fewer number of uchiwa (laugh). But gradually I learned to see that I am myself. (T/N: meaning, he’s different from the others, so there’s no need for comparison) Also, there was the important fact that I gained more self-confidence. As I worked in jobs such as stage plays and accumulated experience from those, confidence started to build up, and with that, my mind was broadened. Rather than an abrupt start, I’d say that it went on years after years, little by little. Well, it’s not like I have ever seriously given it a thought though (laugh). As I already have this much blessings, I feel like there’s no regret whatsoever. All that's left to do is to live and have fun (laugh)

You have no choice but to face it head on, I think. If you were to ask me what a tough situation was, I would have to say that for myself, it’s mostly environments where I had no choice but to do [something], so I just had to go ahead and do it. Even if it turned out to be a hopeless case, tough situations form experiences from which we grow and learn. So I think it’s really better to have gone through tough times than to not have any at all
