Road Trip Meme!
Today was mildly disappointing -- passed my murderous Physics midterm with a B, but came home expecting to get the new U2 single on iTunes only to find that it'll be out today next month. At least it'll be a perfectly-timed birthday present, then.
At any rate, have a meme!
You’ve somehow acquired a magical dimension-splicing conversion van and are planning an epic cross-country road trip with your friends and fandom. First, pick ten travel buddies from anywhere -- real life, fiction, OCs, celebrities, whatever. Then answer these questions to see how cracktastic your adventure turns out to be.
1. Kallie (soon to have an LJ, apparently?)

1. The GPS has an obnoxious voice. What does 9 name it, and is 7 bothered by it? Ah. John promptly names it Joe-Bob or something along those lines (he has this trend with giving unnamed things, like hostile aliens, bizarrely average names. I’m not sure a GPS would be any different.) Qui-Gon’s not bothered by its voice much, unless it starts to point out roadkill or something.
2. 1, 4, 6 and 8 are all forced to share the cramped back row of seats. How do they arrange themselves? Kallie, Edge, Jess and Dooku? Oh dear. *grins* Jess, lucky thing that she is, would sit between Edge and Dooku - prime fangirling location, see. Kallie would sit on the other side of Dooku and attempt to get him to talk about Obi-Wan with her, or simply take notes for characterization later and fangirl a bit.
3. 5 and 10 are sitting next to each other. Who gets the window seat? Between Fialleril and Rodney, I’d say Rodney. He’d whine and threaten to get carsick if it were any other way.
4. 3 and 4 are invading one another’s personal space. Who gets annoyed first, and how do they deal with it? Haha, Bono and Edge invade each other’s personal space all the freaking time, so they probably wouldn’t mind too much. (I know I certainly wouldn’t. *grins*) If B’s being particularly clingy and Edge doesn’t feel like putting up with it, he’d give Bono something to keep him entertained for the rest of the trip. Maybe some Sudoku. Or a coloring book. I imagine Edge is very skilled in the art of Bono-distraction.
5. What habit does 8 have that might get on 2’s nerves? There would have to be a trip-long ban on listening to NPR, because you know Dooku would generate massive hours-long discussions/rants about whatever the announcers were talking about. Laurie would get fed up with his constant grouching at the radio and put on the Batman soundtrack instead.
6. Who’s more likely to start up a round of “99 Bottles,” 1 or 7? Oh, Kallie, definitely. I’ve traveled with her before, and it would either be this or The Song That Never Ends. But Qui would quickly join in. :D
7. Would you trust 9 or 10 to get behind the wheel for a while? I’d trust John more than Rodney. Fighter pilot > distractible physicist any day. Another reason NPR would have to be banned - Rodney would call in during the Science Friday program and get into such a heated rant that he’d run the car off the road.
8. You stop at a gas station and 5 and 3 make a snack-and-supply run. What do they bring back? Fialleril would ask everyone what they’d like and return bearing those exact items, and maybe some extra tea. Bono, on the other hand, would charge in and emerge with all sorts of ridiculous knickknacks that you can only find at gas stations - obscure flavors of bubblegum, Amish merchandise of dubious authenticity, oddly-colored lighters, and 26 tins of cinnamon Altoids. Maybe a cheesy, horrendous two-buck romance novel that he’d pass around to everybody for the lulz.
9. 6 and 8 brought CDs. What’s on their playlist? Hmm, Jess would have a good bit of Tori Amos, Matchbox 20, maybe some Coldplay, and U2. (Bono would find this last selection hilarious, and insist upon starting a whole-van sing-along. Edge would just attempt to headdesk without a desk.) Dooku….Hmm. Hanson and Dashboard Confessional! Something classical, or opera, most likely.
10. Who’s the more notorious backseat driver, 2 or 10? I’m gonna have to go with Rodney. Laurie’s pretty chill as a general rule, but Rodney even tries to tell his fighter-pilot best friend how to drive sometimes. I doubt anyone else would be spared.
