GPS Tracking
For those of you who’ve been following my journal, you’ll know that I’ve spoken a few times about the very high crime rate in South Africa. It’s actually become quite bad that one of our cell phone companies has come up with a “Tracker” detail for the cell phone you carry around and which after you press on one button, will emit a message and send it to four people who are connected to this “line”. However, if you think about it - you send one message and then they probably take your cell phone away with you, if God-forbid someone takes you by force somewhere else. You can’t exactly keep it with you and THEN send a message.
Anyway, since most hijackings end up in possible kidnappings, having a satellite navigation system in your car seems like a REALLY good idea. That way, if something serious does happen - almost most of the times, the hijackers keep the car with them and then can be located.
