Summary: The events that happened on Tarsus IV changed James Kirk forever. Here's the story.
A gentle humming sound vibrated in his chest as he sat with his back to the wall. Across the room was a large window where black was interrupted with streams of white lights, indicating that the ship was in warp drive as it sped him further away from his home planet. At first he'd planned on hating everything about his summer on an alien planet but that would only make his mother's 'punishment' all that more effective. So now he had a new plan, enjoy it and cause as much trouble as he could. Truthfully he was actually pretty excited to visit another planet. He'd read over everything he could get his hands on once he'd gotten onto the passenger ship.
Tarsus IV was a Federation colony that had been established sometime after they'd found the planet. There was approximately eight thousand people on the planet - give or take a dozen at any given time. It had one sun like Earth and the entire civilization was one giant city. Still there would be plenty of things to explore as there were mountainsides with tons of caves and trees to climb. Not mention plenty of other kids he could have fun with. A summer on a different planet was going to be great!
