Sounds absurd or some sort of 20th Century Comic Book superhero name. Some of those were really lame. Batman, Superman, Wonder Women. Flash. Whatever floats your boat. You going to run around with a cape on your back now?

And it's Kirk. James Tiberius Kirk, sir. You better not forget it.

Absurd? YOu sound like someone from home, and no, I won't be wearing a cape. Unless capes are added to the starfleet uniform. I prefer functionality in my clothing.

Well, James Tiberius Kirk, I look forward to seeing you in my classes.

[Just about as impressed with the name as Kirk is.]

Does that mean you get to dump your students on a foreign planet somewhere and come back a week later to see who survived?

That does mean I get to dump my students on a foreign planet somewhere for a week. Or I could just dump them somewhere here on Earth and come back for them a week later, there are some fairly difficult environments here, plus, it's convenient. But that's more of a test of survival abilities than teaching them how to survive, so something like that will wait until they can handle it.

I'd also have to find a time when the other instructors wouldn't mind.

You're the flight instructor here, aren't you?

I've been stuck on foreign planets before now and I turned out jus' fine.

And yes I am. Falco Lombardi.

Nice to meet you. My own flight experience is very limited, and I've only been into space once, but it seems interesting, and much safer with the technology here.

[ FINALLY SURVIVAL TRAINING; THIS HE COULD PULL OFF ]

mercilessly?

Yes. The world... the galaxy can be an unforgiving place out there. So I shall be merciless in the survival training to be sure you can handle it when it's time to stop practicing and start surviving for real out there.

You said you are an instructor, is that correct? I also am; I am Mercury, teaching ancient Earth history.

Captain Bravo. An intriguing name. You may address me as Kunzite, I am the instructor for Traditional Military Techniques. If you would be interested, I believe that we would do well to work together.

It's nice to meet you, Kunzite. Close combat and traditional military techniques are also something I excel at, I think we could work together well!

Perhaps we should cross reference our students? I will be personally assessing the combat abilities of all my students, and would have no issues sharing my results with another instructor should it benefit the students.

Combat is very important to survival, I would be interested in those results, thought it might be better if we had some sort of standard to compare to. You and I may have very different ways of judging combat ability.

If you're interested, we could coordinate to do a class covering combat in difficult or unusual terrain once I've covered those areas in my class. Teach them to use the terrain to their advantage in a fight.
