One last brushstroke, and she was done.
Stepping back, Mars set the paintbrush down and smiled, nodding. Walls were now colored to her liking, a deep red scarlet color. There were posts attached to the walls, torches really, though for the moment, they were unlit. Bed and floor were all covered with paint-splattered plastic, the bed underneath already draped in reds, embers, and golds, fabrics she brought from home. Phobos and Deimos had insisted on it. After she sealed up the paint, Mars moved to her bathroom, washing her hands as she let the paint dry.
