The stories that I have heard. The things that I have seen. I love Nashville. I don't know that there is a more incredible city filled with more incredible people than I have come across here. This is how life was meant to be. There is nothing like this.
Tonight I stared at the water line on a friend's wall at her home, which was at my eye level. I cleaned out her closets, threw away soaking wet clothes, trash, documents that may have been important at one point in time. Knocking out drywall. Pushing wheelbarrows of debris through a family home. Eating pizza at a patio table covered in mud and probably some variation of sewage water. I was thanked profusely several times, and the only thought in my head was "I haven't done nearly enough."
I have never been more proud to live in a city that I can call home.
