On D.C.
I'm in! I've paid my fee and received confirmation to perform in the parade. I will be playing mallets instead of drums because that's all that was available. The spots went hella quick. Last night, so many people logged on when registration opened that the site crashed and no one got to register, so today they're doing it incrementally by instrument, and even though I logged on right at 10am, the snare spot I originally tried for was already full by the time I got my information typed in. Crazy.
Anyway, I'll be in DC from January 17-22 and now just need to find housing. I have several options, but I'm going to wait to worry about that until after I finish classes this week.
In addition to that, I received word that the conference I submitted my paper to is greatly interested in it, and wants to work with me, so it looks like I'll be in DC again over Valentine's Day weekend. Yay.
