“Ne, Kuro-sama?” Fai smiled from behind the fan of cards that he was currently holding. Kurogane didn’t respond, so Fai continued. “How about we put a wager on the game to make it a bit more interesting?”

“I don’t have any cash,” Kurogane stated bluntly, not looking up from his hand.

“We can bet with things other then money, Kuro-myu.” Kurogane raised an eyebrow and glanced up at the other man.

“What’d you have in mind?”

“How about…I’ll be your personal slave for an entire day!” Fai smiled brightly, putting his cards face-down on the bed that he was currently sitting on.

“Why the hell would I want you as a slave?” the red eyed man asked, already slightly irritated.

“I don’t know, Kuro-rin. I’m the slave, it’s up to you to decide,” Fai giggled lightly and grinned at the other man.

“Whatever,” Kurogane grunted. “But what if you win?”

“Oh, nothing too extravagant. Just…” The blond leaned across the bed to where Kurogane sat, so close to him so that their noses were almost touching. “A kiss from Kuro-chu!” he said happily, and Kurogane pushed him away.

“But why not, Kuro-chan? It’s just a little kiss. It won’t hurt anyone.”

“What the hell makes you think that I want to kiss you?” the larger man growled, putting his own cards down on the bed next to him. It didn’t look like they’d be finishing the hand until one of them gave in.

“A bet isn’t any fun if you don’t have to do something that you don’t want to if you lose! Do you think I want to be your slave?”

“Knowing you, you probably do,” Kurogane mumbled under his breath, but just loud enough for the mage to hear him.

“That’s beside the point, Kuro-pon.” Kurogane growled. “So do you want to take the bet? Or does Kuro-min have no faith in his hand?”

Kurogane sighed. “Fine.” He had an open ended King high straight draw, a decent enough hand. Winning this thing and getting it over with would be much easier than trying to get the mage to forget about it.

Kurogane took one of the cards from his hand and slid it over to Fai. The blond exchanged the card for a new one and Kurogane picked it up. Ace of spades. Perfect. Kurogane looked toward the smaller man. “You gonna take some cards, or what?”

“Nope,” the mage replied happily. “I think I’ll stick with these.”

“Suit yourself,” Kurogane grunted as he laid down cards, face-up this time. “Ace-high straight,” he stated simply.

“I have the same thing,” Fai said, mimicking Kurogane’s earlier motion. “But mine are all hearts. Isn’t that a Royal Flush, Kuro-puu?”

“Don’t act like you don’t know, you idiot! That hand’s near impossible to get!”

“I guess some of Sakura-chan’s luck is rubbing off on me, ne?” the blond giggled.

“Shut the hell up,” Kurogane growled. There was no way that damn mage could have won. He had been so sure that he had that hand.

“Well,” Fai started, a sly smirk on his lips. “I guess that means I win, right?” The blond crawled across the bed to close the distance between him and the other man. Before the ninja could protest, Fai had pushed their lips together in a soft, chaste kiss. In another moment it was over, and Kurogane found the smaller man settled comfortably in his lap.

“Now, was that really so bad, Kuro-sama?” He received only a small grunt in response. This made Fai giggle. “Ah, so it seems Kuro-rin liked it more than he let on!”

“Shut up!” he growled, pushing the blond off of him. “And get to your own side of the damn bed.”

“Fine,” Fai pouted. “You’re no fun, Kuro-pin. I guess instead we-”

“No,” Kurogane cut him off. “We’re going double or nothing,” he said, a small sly smile forming on his lips.
