You need to check out ReBelle (not much at the website at the moment), the new yarn shop in town. It is down by campus on Limestone in the space where Paisley Peacock used to be, under Sqecial Media. It is run by some of the members of the Lexington SnB and has a nice selection. Lots of sock yarn, hand-dyed, dye-your-own, dyes, bamboo, hemp, Malabrigo, alpaca, etc.

Not just yarn, they carry:

• Alternative fibers
• Fun Patterns and Kits
• Funky Recycled Items
• Natural Women's Health
• Organic Baby Products

Next Saturday (Sept. 30th) they are having their grand opening from 10 am - 9 pm. They will be having a "Make Our Store Cozy" contest, in which you are invited to come and knit up a cozy for anything in the store. Prizes will be awarded for Smallest Cozy, Largest Cozy, Most Pointless Cozy, Most Extravagant Cozy and Most Creative Cozy. I should go and knit up something silly for it.

Also on Saturday nights, the local SnB hangs out there.

Hours are better for those who work as well. They are open until 8 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 6 most other nights. Closed on Mondays.
