Thanksgiving
I hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving and is ready for the holidays. I have been so excited about Christmas this year. Doing Candlelight this year has really got me into the Christmas spirit early this year. I went shopping with my mom on friday. I'm getting a pretty kick ass camera this year. Mine was stolen a few months ago so I had to get a new one. It's pretty sweet.
On Thanksgiving day I found out that Rick and Aprelle are both being deployed to Iraq. They have been out of the service for almost 3 years but on Monday Rick got a letter to report for mobilization. When they got this letter Aprelle decided that she could not be away from him so she volunteered to go. I was very upset to hear this, especially because everyone else knew about it except myself and my brother. They are suppose to report in on April 8th in South Carolina. For those how do not know April 8th is the day after my 21st birthday. Happy Birthday to me right? I have kept it out of my mind lately but I know that I will eventually have to start thinking about not having them around. I keep telling myself service before self. That is what they teach you in the military so you know where your priorities lie. I don't want them to go but there is nothing we can do.
On friday I very much needed a night out. I meet up with a very good friend of mine and had quite a few beers. He really showed me a good time and made me feel a lot better. We went to a club in downtown Orlando and I was introduced to his friends for the first time. At the club we were dancing and having a good time and every time someone can near me he would get defensive. It was kind of cute. It felt so good to have someone take care of me and look after me. I haven't had that in a long time. It felt good to be wanted. I had a great time with him and his friends and hopefully I will get to see them again.
I drove up to Tallahassee Saturday morning to visit John and watch the FSU/UF game. Like we all knew UF won, we all wanted FSU to win. I went to see Happy Feet with him and his family and afterwards had taco salad, beer and smores (which I love to no end)! I was exhausted from sleeping 5 hours thursday night and 3 hours friday night so when I got into bed I passed out and did not wake up till 11am this morning. I left today around 1 and drove 5 hours home, there was traffic and it sucked because it normally only takes 3 1/2 to 4 hours to get home.
I had a good time this week because I didn't have to be in school. I only have 2 weeks of classes and 1 week of exams left this semester. Thanks God!!! Well I'm still tired and I have some homework to catch up on. Peace out!
