Its about time
So it has been forever since I have posted I know....Whats been going on? Well We have moved into our co-op and we have been here for about six months and we are still moving in lol. It has its quirks as any place does but its great to be able to call it home and know you own it. Its cute and quaint and we are still making it our own. I cant wait to paint when i am feeling better!! It is nice to advance to the next stage in my relationship with Ed. Its interesting to live with someone and learn their quirks and trust me we both have our fair share of them! I know that we are eventually going to get married, but we want certain aspects of our life to be in place first before we do so. Yes it is frustrating sometimes when I hear my friends are getting married, but I know that we will be there when the time is right. No rush.
Speaking of marriage, our friend Paul got married last night. Paul and I were friends in college and we decided to go out a couple of times to see if there was anything more to it. Well he got reaquainted with bis now wife and it didnt work out between us after that. To be honest, the spark wasnt there and it was pretty forced. The only thing it did was hurt our friendship but sometimes you have to try you know? Well anyways, Ed and Paul were friends throughout High School and College and we were not invited to the wedding. Ed was pretty upset about it and thats understandable. I really hope that I wasnt the reason we werent. Im sure I wasnt but I hope it wasnt the case. I gladly would've stayed home if it meant he could've gone even though Ed would not go without me, he said that. I am really happy for Paul because I know Lisa makes him so happy!
In other news, a few weeks ago, I started to get a stiff neck and the gland and the bone near my left ear started to swell and you couldnt touch it. I went to the walk in clinic since it was Sunday and they said I had mastoiditis which is the swelling of the mastoid bone. She took a white blood cell count and that came back negative but she gave me antibiotics just in case and steriods to take down the swelling. I thought it was an allergic reaction or somehting. Well i was starting to feel tired (thinking it was the medicine) and my throat started to feel funny on my left side. It felt like I had something caught in my throat, but i didnt and it was very thick and it hurt a bit. I went away anyways and my swelling started to go down but the gland was still swollen. Next thing i know i could barely swallow it hurt so much. That was on my way back from the trip. The antibiotics werent even helping. Well the day after i came back, I had an appointment for a physical with my new doctor. She said that my throat was white and red (i could even see it was white jsut looking in the mirror) she did a strep test. I also got routine blood work. THe strep test came back negative so she said it was tonsilitis. Well I get a call a couple of days ago with the blood test result, and she said "Guess what you have mono." I thought you could only get mono once but it turns out you can get it again. Its rare, but possible. And my condition has been going downhill from then. I luckily have another apointment with her Monday. Its funny though that it went from mastoiditis where they didnt know what the swelling was to mono. But it makes sense cause my glands in other places have been swollen too and my left side has been killing me and man i can barely move and Im a girl who works out 3-4 times a week. I cant do anything. So its frustrating. I am worried about my side because anything strenous I do makes it hurt. Thats where your spleen is.
So anyways now that I do have mono...again, i will be spending a lot more time at home. I will try to update more. I also am trying to make an effort and get in touch with people again. I know that I have sort of dissapeared for a while,because i have been settling down with things but I do miss my friends. I have been slowly making more of an effort like Angela and I have been talking a lot more which I love because shes my girl! So yeah drop me a line and I will try and drop people a line too! OKay my throat is sore and i am craving hot choclate so I am off!
