EVERYTIME I THINK OF DEAN DYING I ALMOST ALWAYS CHOKE BACK A SOB. :( Also, the thought of the Winchesters never being the same just GRABS at me that I can't react properly. OMG this is the only TV series to get me so INVOLVED with the characters--usually I'm so far far away from the characters in a show, able to logically comprehend that their reality is different from mine. But here! My mind won't listen to logic! It loves them so much that it keeps on re-living every moment, every expression that OH MY GOD there are no words to express the plethora of emotions regarding this show.
The Winchesters also remind me of my family dynamic--Sam and Dean corresponding to myself and my older brother. The same dynamics are there, (although not so much in MY dynamic, now it's more of a fuck-off thing, but nevermind that.) hell, even the Wincest could work. (BUT Sorry, EW. Let's not go there.) Even John Winchester could easily correspond to my single mother who demands too much and Sammy hating it (that is easily me.) but the thing is, as much as I love how the SPN world could correspond to mine, I think it doesn't fit, this analogy. It's because the Winchesters are fighting something they couldn't avoid: Sammy's stuck as Boy King, Dean's stuck as dying, the brothers are left with no definite place to call home except for the Impala and their few friends. My case isn't--it's a boring, run-of-the-mill drama generated by stupid decisions about love, and lifestyle choices. I want to put the analogy in a personal note, but don't want to because SPN is far too awesome to put into shitty dramas like crazy!family things.
I love this fandom because it can make me go sad, and hyper-happy all in the range of a few seconds. Jared hitching with Sandy, and the J2 in fear of losing it's (sort of) Canon and imagining Jensen so so SAD and DOWN and near hysterics is enough to make me STFU and be sad, but then I look at their pictures and fic and go FTW!
