Jack is Yuusei's BFF for lyfe, despite some rather difficult times in the past regarding their friendship. Fortunately, Jack got over himself enough to allow Yuusei back into his life, and well, they've been practically inseparable ever sense. Back home, they live together where Yuusei takes care of his poor, inept brother they're working hard on preparing for the WRGP. In route, they're travel mates that support each other through thick, thin and expensive coffee habits. Yuusei would probably be severely lost without this guy, and is more than thankful that he has Jack, at the very least, to give him some reminder of home.
Crow Hogan | usedskyattack
Crow is his other BFF for lyfe. As Yuusei understands, the Crow in route happens to be from a bit in the future. This doesn't bother him much, and he only gets mildly irked when Crow starts rambling on about the future. Still, Crow is part of his support system, and things would just be wrong without him around. Crow is reliable, and won't steal his money, and for that, he's thankful.
Aki Izayoi | markoftherose
Aki is yet another reminder from home, and while he may not be AS close to her as he is with Jack and Crow, he considers her a valuable asset and a close friend. As another person from his world, he cherishes her company as she serves as one more strand of truth that his entire life wasn't some giant dream.
Yuuki Juudai | vagabondfool
Juudai is someone that Yuusei has met in route. He's learned a few interesting things from Juudai and considers him to be his go-to guy for needed information about the current goings on. They do have something in common - duel monsters! That is a language that Yuusei speaks thoroughly, and while they may not be incredibly close, Yuusei does hope to face Juudai in a duel and is thoroughly excited for the challenge he will face.
Yuugi Mutou | gamersoul
OMG YUUGISAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNN.
Yuusei is Yuugi's fanboy number one, and while he may not have realised that he has almost certainly freaked Yuugi out of trusting him for life, he does try to keep calm around Yuugi for the sake of possibly becoming friends with the awesome Yuugi-san.
