Finally saw Slumdog Millionaire! There are two different reactions to this:

1. My silly-super-excited-geeky reaction:
*OH MY GOD, did you see the way they replayed the scene where Latika tries to run away from the mob and Jamal's brother and Jamal tries to save her at the end? They played it backwards! IT WAS SO AWESOME SEEING LATIKA RUN BACKWARDS! It was also a very beautiful scene, the way it was juxtaposed with the scene where Latika and Jamal finally find each other at the train station. I'm an editing geek so the editing of this movie made me want to do back flips.
*Dev Patel is cute! Especially during the dancing scene from the credits ;) <3 And a good actor obviously :)
*Again with the editing: did you notice how sometimes they chose a stop-motion approach to the editing? That was awesome!
*The cinematography was beautiful. I loved how they shot everything- especially the scenes of the kids running away from people.

2. My trying-to-be-normal reaction:
*The way they told the story kept it interesting and fresh. The beginning was a little choppy, but once the story kicked off it was fine.
*Some people said that Jamal was kind of a stalker, but that wasn't even close. Of course he would spend his life looking for this girl. Something terrible could have been happening to her (in fact, what happened to her was terrible). He couldn't just forget about her. India is different from the US. She was in danger. They were friends and he loved her. He was not acting like a stalker by trying to find her.
*I liked how they did the subtitles. Instead of having them at the bottom of the screen, they included them in the film. You could watch the movie and read subtitles at the same time and not miss anything.
*The way the romance played out was so nice. It wasn't over done. Even though the story ended up being about that romance, I didn't feel like it took over the whole plot. It was nice to not have it all be about that love story, if you know what I mean.
*Also, the writing was excellent. I love Simon Beaufoy!

Overall it was a great film. I can't decide if it's a film to see more than once or not (meaning buying the DVD). I will probably end up buying it just so I can watch the amazing editing (and Dev Patel) whenever I want.
