The end of a verse.

Astrid had wandered the streets of London for four days straight now. Exhausted, but she never stopped. Dark moons that stole the shine from her eyes, weighed heavily. Still hoping though and more confused than she'd ever been. But there was no sign of him. She'd asked people, too many people, so many people that they all blurred together now. A singular voice that encompassed all their blank responses in her mind. Even the memory of him felt glassy through the sheen of tears that took away her focus and lucidity.

He'd gone. With no trace. Simply gone. And there was no TARDIS where they'd left it.

She was here on that amazing planet that she could remember bouncing on with excitement once, and now it was nothing more than a depressing prison and she knew nothing about it. Everything foreign that had inspired her and made her thirst for more, dulled in the chilling November drizzle.

Every ounce of adrenalin her body could muster had been spent as she sluggishly dragged her feet into the building signed 'Hostel'. She didn't want to stop, but she had to.

Delerious and verging on collapse, she pulled the scratchy grey blanket over her shoulders and took the offered tea with a shaky nod.

"I need to find the Doctor" she pleaded with exhausted lacklustre to the greying woman.

"It's okay sweetheart, there's a doctor been called, he'll be here in a little while."

Word Count: 250
Verse: 2 Doctors + 1
Notes: I wanted to write in some kind of ending for Astrid with the 'death' of watch_is_me. And I thought the Titanic similarities were rather apt. A refugee from a sunken Titanic by the name of 'Rose' wrapped in a blanket, with a new life ahead of her.]

starring: watch_is_me, fic, verse: 2doctors+1
