we come back with Riley and Shawn having a discussion about butterflies
Shawn: Did you know your mother once caught a rainbow butterfly?
Shawn: I was amazed at what it looked like, I've never seen another like it
Riley: I bet it's as rare as seeing a ghost
Riley: That would be kind of scary...
Shawn: Ghosts aren't rare, just go to the grave yard and you would know that. This butterfly was rare!
Shawn: You believe me don't you?
Riley: I ah... hah..
Jessie rudely interrupts them
Jessie: This is boring let's go play
Riley: Dad I have to go for a sec
Shawn: You don't believe me huh?
Riley: No I do, I just have to go somewhere
Zinneah's new greenhouse, I think it looks pretty awesome. When spring comes around she can use the part outside
They got's a sunflower too
Riley: Do we have a snow day today?
Kira: I don't think so.... I haven't heard anything
Zinneah: The amount of snow day's they have at your school.. how are you meant to learn anything?
Kira: I'm not sure mum
Zinneah: By the way, upstairs is finished, you guys should be able to sleep in your new rooms tonight
Riley heads upstairs to check it out, he receives a phone call from a girl from school
Riley: hey Keri, sure we can hang out at prom, I'll see you there
Prom night is about to begin
Kira: Mum, prom is tonight and you said you would help me!
Kira: Well I guess you didn't technically say you would but..
Zinneah: Prom is tonight? Why didn't you tell me earlier? Come on let's get you into the bathroom
She gave Kira a new hairstyle, she's so gorgeous!
An hour later
Zinneah: You look beautiful
Zinneah: I'm so proud of you honey, you're turning out to be such a beautiful young woman
Kira: Thanks mum
Jessie: Why are you wearing a suit?
Riley: It's prom night, all the guys wear a suit
Jessie: What's prom?
Riley: it's too hard to explain but it's just a type of dance people go to
*Toot*
Riley: There's the limo, I'll see you when I get home
Jessie: I'll just wait here until you get back...
Kira: Here goes nothing
Kira: I'm kind of nervous
Riley: So am I
Kira: Are you meeting that girl Keri there?
Riley: How'd you know about her?
Kira: I have my ways
so I lost all the pictures of what they did so here's a run down
- Riley and Kira both got in fights
- Kira saw someone wearing the same dress
- Riley and Keri spent the night dancing and then got 'romantic interest' with each other
- Riley was named Prom King
- Kira was named Prom Queen
Kira set down her crown, photo and ballet trophy onto her dresser in her new room
Kira: How did I get named prom Queen? I barely know anyone from school...
It's probably because you're gorgeous!
Riley: Prom King.. and Keri likes me! I don't know how this night could have been any better
Maybe if you didn't get into a fight?
Jessie: Hey Riley! How was prom?
Riley: It was awesome
Riley: I found out that Keri, a girl from school likes me!
Jessie: Now when you say "like" what do you mean?
Jessie: I mean there are a lot of different kind of "likes"
Riley: Like's me in a possible I'll be her boyfriend in a kind of way
Jessie: Oh, I see
Riley: It's late, I should get to bed. Goodnight
Jessie: Night...
He can't see she's upset :(
New bed
another new bed
Zinneah is so close to her LTW, she just has to plant a few more plants
Kira: Hey mum, how's the gardening coming along?
Zinneah: Really well, I just need to plant the rest of these plants and once they're grown I should have more than enough perfect plants
Kira: That's great to hear!
Meanwhile in the kitchen
Jessie: So when are you going to get to turning me real?
Riley: Soon
Jessie: But how soon?
Riley: Just soon okay?
Jessie: Well I kind of need to know
Riley: I'll get to it when I feel like it, but right now the guests are arriving for the gift opening party
Poor Jessie
Riley: Hey everyone! Time to open the gifts!
Keri watches Riley from across the room, secretly hoping he'd look her way, but he doesn't. He's too focused on the gifts
Keri was the first to open her gift
She got something she really wanted
Kira was up second and received an easel
Riley came up third
Riley: Who the hell would gift a toilet roll holder? what a horrible present!
He got a second chance later on though
Riley: Yes a chess table! Just what I wanted!
The snow day's were coming to an end and the kids were heading to school everyday again
Kira dancing with the sunflower... just cause
Riley: I don't know what's wrong with Jessie lately but I made her a promise
Riley: I'm going to make her real soon
Kira does her painting
The family studies different things together
Riley: I think I'm almost there Jessie
*Bang!*
Riley: Owww... maybe not...
Jessie: Are you okay?
Riley: I'll be fine
Kira finds her mum in the lounge, she has been trying to find out more about college but searching online wasn't doing much for her
Kira: Mum I have a question about college, how do I test if I'm ready?
Zinneah: Didn't the mascot tell you?
Zinneah: You did talk to the mascot didn't you?
Kira: I may have told her to leave because I already know what I wanted to do...
Zinneah: Well that was silly.. she would have handed you a welcome kit with everything you needed
Kira: That's what that thing is?! I've just left it sitting in my room!
Zinneah: You should find everything you need in there
Kira: Okay, here goes nothing
Kira: Hmmmm
Shawn: What's she doing?
Zinneah: Taking her aptitude test
Shawn: She's growing up too fast
Zinneah: They both are
Kira: I didn't even get a scholarship... What?
Despite her marvellous paintings she still hadn't learned enough about general life skills to get any scholarships
Meanwhile Riley headed to the best place in town to learn things.. The library
Riley: Maybe I can find something in here that will help me make Jessie real...
Riley: Eww, PDA PDA!!
Shawn: It's not PDA if we're in our own house
Riley: It is if I walk in on it
Kira: Why didn't I get a scholarship?...
Zinneah: Honey I think there's something wrong with Kira... maybe we should go talk to her?
Kira: Hey mum, hey dad, did I do something wrong?
Zinneah: No nothings wrong honey. We just wanted to talk to you about college
Kira: I don't really want to talk about it
Zinneah: Your paintings are incredible but just that alone isn't enough for a scholarship, we just want to let you know that you don't need one. We can pay for you to go
Kira: I don't want you to have to do that though
Shawn: Your paintings are amazing honey and we want to help you with your skills
Kira: Thanks guys, you're the best
