Thanks for the wonderful birthday wishes, especially from my lovelies: shadowycat, capitu, evening12, and isisanubis. Love you all!!!
I had a good day, hanging out with my family, playing computer games like Minecraft and Guild Wars 2 and eating homemade orange-and-chocolate brownies. I participated in firewhiskeyfic on Saturday night -- yay! Voting should go up soon.
Yesterday, we went to Underbelly's 5th anniversary street party. That's our favorite restaurant, and Chris Shepherd is just the best chef ever. He's known for combining Houston's different food cultures into incredible dishes to serve in the restaurant. What I didn't know was that it's also set up as a teaching kitchen, so he's training other chefs how to be great at what they do. And he's just the sweetest guy and so friendly. Congrats, Chris!
