askdghad; ahahah, I'm glad you approve. It's a super secret (not very secret) pairing-that-I-love. I just never write it cause I'm so unconfident writing Francis. But I couldn't say no to the prompt, and I had a lot of fun writing it. ♥

And I'm glad you like it so far! I definitely agree that there's something refreshing and sweet about Alfred needing comfort. Such a big, confident guy/country like him is bound to need some reassurance and sympathy.

Alfred scrunched his face up, lips pursed like a fish’s. His face seemed to grow steadily redder. Underneath it all, Alfred did not seem to do well with affection. Attention, he could handle. Praise, too. But affection, legitimate concern, was something the boy was not used to. For a moment, Francis’ heart ached.

UK induced emotional baggage or not, reading Fr/US seems to be a guilty pleasure of mine... It's definitely one of my go-to guilty pleasures. It's just such a fun pairing and there are lots of things you can do with them! I'm really glad that there are other fans out there, since it's true that finding good fic can be difficult (though the FrUS comm has a few good ones :D).

And fuck yeah FACE. I recently realized that I really enjoy the four's interactions with each other. But, again, not nearly as confident writing Francis or Matthew (or even Alfred, for that matter) as I am writing Arthur. But they really are a lot of fun, silly dysfunctional family that they are. ♥

And fff I'm glad you like Francis here. Lack of confidence aside, he really IS a lot of fun to write, and it makes me sad when people just denote him to a random groping pervert. He may be touchy feely, but he does it because he cares~*~ and all that. I think he's a really awesome character.
