And, the verdict is in...
Well, I heard back from the management of that apartment complex today... And... ... They didn't have a definite answer yet. The leasing agent I've been talking to did, however, let me know that the application is in it's final stage, which is approval by her supervisor. She should know by Tuesday what her supervisor says. Oh, and she might have also mentioned that her supervisor's review is mostly just a formality, and that unless she made a huge error somewhere along the line (which she thinks is extremely unlikely) that I've pretty much got the studio. Also, instead of a $1200 deposit like I was expecting, my deposit will only be $552. So, yeah. BIG giddy grin on my face today. ^_^
So, with such good news, I felt a rather large compulsion to go SHOPPING! I took the money I had budgeted for the extra deposit and hit a sale that Macy's had going on for kitchen stuff. I ended up getting 4 sets of dishes (dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, and mug), silverware for 4 place settings, and drinking glasses from Macy's. I got a great deal, since the dishes were buy one set, get one free, and each set was only $28. That's like, Target cheap dishware prices for Macy's middle range dishware. And, the girl who helped me was totally nice, and gave me an extra 15% off my whole purchase! Of course, that wasn't enough to satisfy my shopping urge... I ended up going to target and picking up a decent pot and frying pan, a couple of knives, and cooking spoons/spatulas/etc...
So, the long and the short of it is that I'm packing on September 29th, and moving up there on September 30th. Again with the bitter-sweetness of it all... It's definitely a relief to have everything 99% set in stone though. Now all I need to do is reserve a moving truck. It's hard to believe that's only six short, but oh so long, weeks away...
