Evacuation news

Hi everyone woo hoo greetings and salutations from hurricane central.

Well it has been a long time since I updated. My daughter came home after a short stint in the hospital, graduated high school (I threw her a party too), she decided to stay in New Orleans to attend William Carey, taking nursing and had just had her 18th birthday the day before another female decided to impose herself upon our life, Katrina.

We are all doing fine, have gotten the troll queen into college in Natchitoches, Louisiana (northwest, la. aka/ middle of nowhere). It appears as though one of those great levee's broke near our home and drowned our little abode. We lived quite near the lake, not even a block from the London Ave. Canal.

I commandeered GB's computer because mine is still underwater ;). We have a two bedroom apartment currently in a clearing in the woods, there are all manner of flora and fauna I am still trying to identify (hate that all the books are swimming with the fishes). I have taken a great deal of solice in cooking, and am going to begin to try to do a bit of artwork once we have registered at the missing sites and located our family and friends.

We are thinking about moving to Arkansas after some of the financial details have been worked out, forget that sailing away to Key Largo idea, I have decided that losing everything is not a fun experience, but it does teach to put less attachment on things, I do still miss my paints and paintings, but regret now not giving away and/or selling everything I ever created.

Hope everyone else got out alright and is doing well or trying hard to fake it :).
