Waaah, this makes me wanna cry, it's so sad. T_T

Yes Gokudera, you need to realize that Tsuna is more than just the Tenth! Adult Gokudera did seem like he might have been more aware of this all...

But the problem is if Tsuna doesn't die, Gokudera doesn't learn.

This. Exactly.

They really kind of break my heart that way. :\

Whenever I try to write the two of them getting together, I always seem to run into that goddamn wall where Gokudera just idolizes Tsuna too much. Gokudera treats Tsuna like he's a frickin' God, which just scares the hell out of Tsuna who tries to run away from most responsibility and other things that scare him (but he's getting better).

I want to ship them so bad, but they just just, they both refuse to go past a certain point. ;_;

I don't think it's so much Tsuna being scared by it (although that's definitely a part of it too, and who could blame him?) as it is Tsuna just wanting to be Tsuna. Gokudera is his best friend because Tsuna could just see and accept him as-is, no strings attached, and their bond is very honest that way -- Gokudera never has to be anything but himself for Tsuna to still care about him. It's what inspired all of Gokudera's insane loyalty to begin with.

But that doesn't really go both ways, and Tsuna knows it. Even if Gokudera could still adore Tsuna and not just his boss, it can't happen while he's just unconsciously refusing to see the difference. :\ And I run into the same wall as you do, too; as much as I love them, I think that at the very least Tsuna would just constantly feel like it wasn’t him Gokudera wanted at all, and that it would be dishonest to allow an actual relationship to develop with things that way. Even if, uh, Gokudera managed to work through that whole I’M NOT WORTHY D:/IT WOULD BE SACRELIGIOUS TO EVER TOUCH THE ( ... )

To admit that you are still hopelessly in love, only now with Sawada Tsunayoshi and not just the Vongola Tenth. (Because you suddenly understand that there had been a difference and how much you must have hurt him by insisting otherwise, even if he never once breathed a word.)

omg, that entire paragraph just slaughtered me... angst quota for the day, filled.

hopelessly in love... ;///A///;
