For seiyuu....I'd try Suzumura Kenichi xD He does Zack in Crisis Core, I like how he manages to convey both Zack's upbeat childish character as well as maturity and sadness when the situation calls for it. I guess his voice would work well on a character who switches between being an adult and a teenager XD (He also voices Hitachiin Hikaru in Ouran Highschool Host Club if you've watched that XD )

Because my dear friend is on a watching spree of anything with him in it after fangirling one character of his for about eight years or so, and whatever it is, it's always good to have a bargaining chip to convert people.

Ahhh I think I shall go with Ishida Akira just because he's good at playing young teen boys and still be able to pull off the low deep manly voice if he needs to.
