A firstie for me. I wrote a short little fic for Jacob/Bella, and this concept is pretty much foreign to me. This ficcie really hit home somewhere though. Read, love, comment, the works. Inspired by Pixie Lott's song, "Gravity."
Title: Gravity.
Pairing: Bella X Jacob
Warnings: None at all.
Description: Pulling in her into the sun, almost like gravity.
Every time she was ready to leave, he would be there, pulling her back into the sun; pulling her in; almost like gravity.
She never knew that they were possible, but with every passing day and with every minute trickling by like sand sinking into an hourglass- she saw the signs.
It was simple little actions that she never really noticed that confirmed her suspicions. The way he knew just when to hook his arm into hers, the way he knew it was the right moment to crack a joke when she was down, the way he cleaned her tears away with the edge of his thumb, his fingernail tracing the wetness on her cheeks.
With every angry outburst about how he had left her, with every impulsive packing session with the notion to never ever return, Jacob would always be there, pulling her back into the right direction, pulling her in to the protection of his arms.
It was clear about how things worked between them. A balancing game of some sort. With every moment where a crazy thought would claim her, he would be there, pulling her away; and it came to the point of time where she was so used to their game that she dived into his protection. He was almost like a safety harness; an air of familiarity and security surrounded him, almost like being able to leap and fall, but to never shatter.
Somehow along the way of their friendship, Jacob Black had unknowingly become her point of gravity.
