You know, I've been trying to be patient with polygonal lasso tool, but I always fail in removing the background. I think I suck at handling the tool. Or maybe I'm not patient enough. Any advice?

Maybe you're just outlining the subject. Try Select >> Inverse, and then delete it. If that doesn't do it, then I hope you don't mind showing me some screencaps.

Um, This may sound stupid but I cannot find the rotating tool. I would think it would be in other versions of Adobe but... -sigh-. I've looked in most of the places of where it should be.
