The problem with this is not every form of art is going to have the same "magical" effect on the observer. I love dada and don't care for its anti-war message. I've been aware of his criticism of it but would find it silly to not appreciate something I liked because Crowley didn't think highly of it.

You should check out the letters between Crowley and Harris.
