Al Khem: One Five Six

An Ode to Terminus: Our Lady of Abominations, whose embrace is annihilation.

Warning: Poetry

One Five Six

I go in my direction
And nothing’s out of range
The hearts in my collection
Are morbid and deranged
I have no reflection
And I know that it sounds strange
But I have my perfection
And nothing needs to change
You saw me in silhouette
You read between the lines
And found a plan so intricate
Inspired in design
You slid between the shadows, yet
You gave a little sign
And then you lit a cigarette
And then you drew the line
That my path would cross
That would burn in brilliant flame
And it would be my loss
If I didn’t play your game
No matter what the cost
I had to learn your name
But direction is the boss
No reflection just the same
I never was so happy
As when I found you in my way
The sunset smiling at me
Blood red in the gray
Nothing could distract me
From the price that I would pay
Your gravity attracted me
In orbit I would play
I still have my perfection
And nothing needs to change
The hearts in my collection
Are satellites, well-trained
But I found my reflection
And I know that it sounds strange
But She is my direction
And nothing’s out of range
