This is Salvation

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Mark 13:13

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Mathew 24:13

Although the Golden Dawn system of magick has been, rightly, classified as shallow by most serious magical practitioners, (and by those who parrot them) it is still important to remember that Thelema is very much a product of that system.  When Crowley took his G:.D:. oath to endure to the end, the inspiration for that oath came from the Gospels.  Notice, in the above quotations, the fate of the one who endures to the end:  he shall be SAVED.  This is a connection which makes a lot of Thelemites who have been raised in oppressive Christian households very uncomfortable.  The fact is that Crowley embarked on his magical career on a quest for salvation.  That quest resulted in Liber AL, and the Law of Thelema.  Liber AL “saved” Crowley in that it revealed the most intimate truth of the divine, that genuine spiritual practice is reflective and Gnostic.  We must know God by knowing ourselves.  We are not to judge ourselves to be good or evil in our essence, but rather, we are to develop ourselves as we truly are, lest we deform the perfection of God’s creation.

This is salvation.  The human race has never needed to be saved from the devil, from sin, or from tyrants.  We have only ever needed to be saved from ourselves.
