I did not mention in my last entry that this is my spring break. No, I'm not posting this entry from Florida or some other warm place. I'm nestled on the couch in my Massachusetts home. It's cold and rainy outside. I had intended to attach to this entry a photo of the rushing brook in front of my house, but apparently the USB cable to my digital camera is missing. Oh well.
I'm still procrastinating, but I thought that making a list of all the things I need to complete before Monday (or ideally before Monday) might help motivate me:
1. Finish "When Work Disappears"/write book review for Labor History class (due March 28th)
2. Write a 2-3 page paper on the motivations of Eleanor of Aquitaine for a role playing game in Crusades class (due March 26th)
3. Interview a person who lived through the Great Depression (due: April 7th) (p.s. not going to happen)
4. Write two take home essays for my Education in American Society midterm (due Monday)
5. Study/pick up the book for the first time for Education midterm
Okay, that was distressing, but I think I feel a little better. It's out in the open now...I'm screwed. I have work tonight from 6-11 (I work in a grocery store, mostly helping brain-dead customers to operate the self-checkout machines...that's right SELF-checkout machines). I'll probably have work everyday until Monday, which means I'll be procrastinating more than ever. I always hate doing homework on days that I have to work.
I'm hoping that I won't be working at the grocery store much longer; I hate it with all of my being. I'd much rather be working in a library. I could study while working! I'm not sure if I'd want to work at the library at my college though, I don't know how much they pay, and I commute to school so it's not the most convenient location for me. Still...I should look into it because at this point I'm desperate.
Alright, right now I'm going to review some classes for next fall and possibly look into library jobs.
