(no subject)
Okay, so it's time for another one of my outbursts of random thoughts, inspired by Katie. WHY DO PEOPLE CARE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES BUSINESS? Like seriously, why is it sooo important to be informed about the latest gossip. What's sad is that as I'm typing this I realize that I am just as bad as everyone else! Like why is it soo important to so and so that person 1 and person 2 are dating? WHO CARES! I mean seriously people, can't you just care about yourself? Is it important that you know why two people broke up? Is that piece of information necessary in getting farther in life? It's not information that will make you smarter, or wiser, or cooler, or MORE IMPORTANT! People will just think of you as a "yenta" (someone that gossips a lot). Okay, so now for a personal experience. Today in math I was telling Eric something, the whole room was talking and the second they heard me say "hey Eric" the whole room just went silent, like what I had to tell Eric was something that EVERYONE else had to hear. Why does it matter that I was telling him I couldn't go out for ice cream!? If people didn't gossip then talking shit wouldn't exist. Like today I heard someone telling someone else how their friend couldn't believe they were wearing a skirt in the winter and how bitchy it was that that person said that. How pathetic!!! (Not of the skirt wearer, of the shit talker). Anyways, maybe I'm dont with this topic...it just seemed like the right time to write about something like that because a lot of it has been affecting my life right now and it's about to stop, and I'm looking forward to that.
