Vacation, second half.
Right now I'm on the second half of my vacation on Pender Island visiting my parents :)
Tuesday SheDevil and I went to Seattle for a day and shopped our brains out. Well on the Tuesday anways....we went to the new Outlet mall in Tulalip. We never did get to have out Red Lobster dinner though because there wasn't one near where we were *pouts* Wednesday we did the tourist thing and did the Underground tour, walked around Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market. We picked up these double dipped chocolate covered honey roasted pecans *drool*, can't wait to have those when I get back home! Thursday before we left we went to the Experience Music Project, it was really cool.....they had a whole bunch of musicians clothes, guitars, song books and such. Biggie Smalls was a very large man....... and Kurt Cobain was tiny, but then he was on drugs. They even have an area where you can try and play instruments, I tried to play the drums....I'll never be a drummer *lol* Then we were out of parking space time so we had to go. Stopped at the outlet mall on the way home again and I picked up a really nice jacket for cheap, and a pretty blue suede purse *SQUEE* ( it's ok, it fits over my shoulder so I was allowed to buy it ;) ) Bought a turkey on the way home....
Then on Friday my roomie gave me a ride to the early ferry and I came out here to Pender. Brought the turkey with me, I had thanksgiving dinner on my back *hee hee* Came just in time for all the baking mom does for the Farmer's Market....except that this weekend she sold out of everything!! All she had left this afternoon was some Squash Buns and a few sugar cookies. It's ok though I had a brownie for breakfast before they sold out :P
After the market was over we went to a little cafe that just opened up here for a coffee and a snack. They make the absolute best fries.....already seasoned...mmmmmm. Definately going to have to go there again the next time I come here! Then after a quick stop at the grocery store and the bakery it was back home for a little nap and now I'm waiting for hockey to start...
Have I mentioned how excited I am about hockey bieng back?!
