Icon Meme

After this little introduction (copied and pasted), here are seven icons marie_j_granger picked from my current batch. It's now i understand how 15 icons in total is not enough. It's not enough incentive to make me upgrade to paid account either.
My choice in icons started with picking every character from every fandom in frequented. After a while, the whole batch was all of Hermione and Scully making faces, throwing killer looks around. So, i rearranged them so that i would have an icon fit for general moods; joy, wonder, anger, disgust, dislike, etc. But just 15 icons is... too constricting. Anyway, i'm happy with my current batch as it is. Here we go.
1. Presenting you Robin Sena, the main character of the anime Witch Hunter Robin. I wouldn't want to spoil it by explaining where she is and what she was feeling right now, but basically she is alone, feels abandoned and she thinks she's at fault. The general atmosphere through the anime is quite opposite to what people think of when they hear anime; it's quite dark and moody. Just the way i like :D
2. Presenting you Howl's Moving Castle, another masterpiece from Miyazaki-sama. This icon was made by a friend, upon my request. We were exchanging icons a few weeks ago, i made a few for him, he made a few for me. Why this one though? If you've seen the movie, the Castle -How'l house- is a haven for society misfits, Howl himself being the first and biggest of them. With the "fire" always going on it the hearth, and the silent support those show to each other, this castle makes me feel home. And every good thing related to it. Also, the colours in this little square are so lively, i couldn't pass. Vague enough to make non-anime folk wonder.
3. Presenting you one Tachikoma, from the anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. A tachikoma is an AI "all purpose" robot used by Section 9 in their assignments. This AI they have is what makes them tick, because after a time each Tachikoma start to grow different personalities; one likes to read, one likes to play, one likes politics, etc. They are like overexcited children, showing curious and exuberant characteristic all the time. I know my explanation doesn't do them justice, so here is short clip of Tachikoma Days, a side series to the main GitS line, because Tachikomas were much loved. It's absolutely spoiler free to the GitS. Japanese dub, english sub, because that's the only way to watch anime until you learn Japanese.

4. Presenting you Saya, from the anime series Blood+. It all began with Blood: The Last Vampire movie, years after returning with the series Blood+. In short, this girl Saya is a queen Vampire hired? by Americans this time to slay off stray vampire made Chiroptera -human eating monsters. At the beginning of the series she doesn't remember who she is and what she did back then. She happened to have gone berserk once again, unleashing ll her powers in the battlefield in Vietnam, resulting in a massacre of Chiroptera and human both. This icon here is her doing that. I thought this was as furious as anyone on earth could get. So if you see me posting with this one, it means one thing.
5. Do i really need to say who this is? A sweet smile from Dan. I guess this is the best place to say this; i don't think he is a drop-dead-gorgeous, Greek God. Not very handsome either, and seriously, he is way younger than me. I like his natural good looks though; eyes that could be described as froggy too, mouth stretching a bit too wide or not etc. So whatever fangurling you think i have starts and ends with him playing Harry Potter. I thought he looked cute here, a fitting icon when i was giggling like that at your posts.
6. Presenting you former Agent Scully of FBI (federal bureau of imagination) from the best TV series of all times (imo) The X-Files. What is not to love? Honestly! And this is as far as i can go being the straight me i am. I am ashamed to say that i can't make out which episode this is from, but from the looks of it it must be Season 7. She has this "bob-hair". If there is another fictional character i love more than Hermione, it is Scully. Besides her character never got butchered, always stood tall.
7. Seriously? Emma, back when she was still a sweet kid and not this scrumptious woman people are trying to make her to be. I like her smile very much, this one here especially looks real. Like someone behind the camera just said something funny. I know it's nothing original, but it'll stay until i find a better icon in the same "smiling/laughing" context.
