As of now, i'm officially hooked. God, how i missed this!
Thanks to dear adamanteve19 , i discovered this cool
series called The Hollows Series that depicts all my favorites. Witches, vampires, evil in all shapes, magic, the world as we know it and we don't. Yay!
I may not have bought the books yet, but i'm about to finish if you catch my drift ;)
The main character, Rachel Morgan, is so likeable in her flaws, fears and goodwill. I also took a liking to her "room-mate" Ivy, who personifies what i like most about vampires. Kudos to Ms. Harrison for describing Ivy's fight for control so truthfully. Compared to what Ivy goes through, what that poster boy Eduardo (i mean, Edward) whines about is a stroll in the park.
Have i mentioned that i dropped Twilight books? Well, i finished the first one, started second out of curiosity. And stopped reading further when i came to that "dramatic" break-up scene. Just how staged and cheesy could it get? *snort*
So, now i have Harrison's character who talk like they should, make huge mistakes, apologize out loud or not. All imperfect. So yummy.
