What a day!

Things at work have been hectic all this week. Yesterday, i was on the brink of a tantrum, felt the urgent need to throttle a few people, one more than the others. On top of that, i couldn't get home before 9 pm for a few days. Got those shifts pushed over me for some reason. Anyway, today, things were milder -with less idiots to deal with and all that- finished 10 before 5 even. Also, wednesdays are for guitar lessons, which is a relief most of the times. And it was 6 to 8, which meant i could be home earlier today. Another thing to look forward to.

My current song is Nothing Else Matters, acoustic version of course. Been on it for a week now, it has this "hammer and pull" move i have to make with my left pinkie. It's harder than i thought, still, i'm enjoying these lessons. Helps me relax and all.

To top it all, today's lesson ended a bit earlier than usual. Which had me skipping steps to get home. Just as i reached to bus stop, my bus came and me jumped right in.

Perfect yeah?

Just as i sat my phone started ringing. A "dear" friend needed MY help, to zip up her dress she needed to try on. So could i please please drop by? The other options were the caretaker, or going out and hollering for anyone to help. It was her virtue on the line -i did sense the drama-. Fuck my "helping people" thing, i did get off the bus after two stops. Went up to her flat, zipped her fucking dress up, and then after she perused her look zipped it down. All while cussing profusely. Please note that this dress happens to be a first for her, bought for cousin's wedding. Obviously she missed that it was meant for women with significant others so they could help the (un)dressing. I even tuned her abandoned guitar to pass the time, turned down her offers of dinner and left -once again- for home.

Again, my bus came just as i got to the stop. I should have known something wasn't right. Now that i think of it, i even found a seat on the bus. All divine signs, if only i could read.

At the door i reached for my keys and ... i didn't have them with me. Obviously, left them at work. Again. Forgot them on my locker twice before. Both on saturday noons. This time though, topped them all.

Did i mention i needed to pee? Also, that i was sticky-sweaty and needed a shower asap?

*deepbreath*

Called work, the guard on nightshift laughing at me because he was there both times i forgot my keys before. Everything was not lost, and God really existed. They sent me my keys with the driver who drove me home just yesterday. (they do drive us home when we have nightshifts)

And now, i'm here with an empty bladder and wet hair, half naked, sipping a glass of water.

A well-deserved bliss.

frustration, work, real life
