One can say that the cast of Battlestar Galactica is perhaps one of the greatest things about the show. It's a rare thing for a television show to bring together such an eclectic mix of experienced, veteran actors and relative, youthful newcomers and have them click so perfectly

before bsg, i knew, out of the regular cast: james callis (bridget jones' diary), kandyse mclure (took me a while to place her, but she's been in smallville), eddie olmos (a movie i saw about a year ago, can't remember the title), richard hatch (the old bsg), lucy lawless (xena, warrior cyl princess), and mary mcdonnell.
actually, you know the story of my actually starting to watch bsg because i saw mary in donnie darko, so i won't repeat that.
anyways, my first memory of mary is as stands with a fist. i LOVE dances with wolves, it's a family affair for all of us over here. we sit down and watch it whenever's on tv, because we're just obsessed with it. i used to love (still do) her hair most of all, because it's so much like my own (scary, isn't it). either way, she became part of me long before i knew who she was as an actress.
then i remember seeing her in independence day, which is another one of those movies we all watch, because it's just so wicked cool (and will smith and ( ... )

i was a fan of the old bsg back in the day, so i knew right away. when i saw his name appear in the credits i was like zomgs!original apollo. :)
i remember driving my best friend insane with marilyn's death scene. that was like over a year ago, waaaaaay over a year ago, when i wasn't a mary!fan. but i just drove her nuts, because that scene is just so sad. and the way she sends her daughter away... and then she and bill pullman's character hug, and they love eachother and it's just so sad... *le sigh*
james IS creepy, but i like creepy! i find him to be a fantastic actor. i'd love to have coffee with him someday in a foggy little london pub and pick his brain. :)

LOL. You liked the original BSG? *cough* Sorry, hehe. I've tried to watch it. Honest to God, I have TRIED. I can't even make it through an episode. Not after seeing the new one.
lol, ok, you go and have a cup of tea with James. I'll chum it up with Jamie!

well, i was like 10 at the time, so i have an excuse. i thought it was quite good. but, again, I WAS 10! :)
mkay! i'll take mary with us as well... james, mary and i will go have some coffee and pie somewhere. :)

Okay, you can have Mary but she'll have to be shared! You can have her in the morning and afternoon but Jamie and I will take her in the evening and night. *vbeg*

well, sounds good, but am thinking that in the interest of keeping teh mary happy and healthy, maybe i could have her in the mornings and you could take her in the afternoon. she needs sleep too... just thinking that we don't want her collapsing somewhere from exhaustion, ya know. then where would we be, all mary-less? ;O

She'd get sleep between activities, lol! Just... not a whole lot of it! And we'd make sure she was well fed and taken care of, too! *vbg*

EXT - NEW CAPRICA, LATE EVENING
The Resistance is gathering for a secret meeting, speaking together in a tight circle. The camera is positioned in the center of the circle and pans in a 360 shot to show everyone present: Laura, Tigh, Starbuck, Daggit, Anders, Tyrol.

although i was thinking more along the lines of the camera following someone walking on what passes there for main street and you just catch it in the background. as an inside joke.
which reminds me... i wonder where boxey is. i hope he wasn't on cloud nine when gina blew it up. poor boxey...

lol, Boxey got too big for his britches, I've read. J/K, hehe. They originally wanted some aspect of family to remain on the show and thought they'd center it on Sharon, Tyrol and Boxey. I know one of the reasons it was axed was lack of time, but I'm pretty sure once they were going to go ahead with the Galactica!Sharon subplot, the Boxey ideas had to go. You can still see the little guy in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. He plays the boy called Jones.

there was some boxey in the deleted scenes. actually, a lot of boxey in the early season 1 deleted scenes. i so wish RDM would release a "director's cut" at some point and put back all the deleted scenes he never wanted to delete in the first place...
i don't remember seeing him in x-men 2... i'll go back and watch. just a good a reason as any. :)

Yeah, there was lots of Boxey, but he wound up on the cutting room floor 99% of the time. Loved the scene where he was Starbuck's little prince in the briefing room, one of his scenes that wasn't cut.
He's the little boy who is watching tv in the middle of the night when Logan awakes from his nightmare. You can see him again at the end of the movie when Xavier is speaking to Logan and Scott after Jean's death. He pokes his head in the door along with Colossus.
