Midterm grades are in already.  I have a 90% in math, which by their grading scale is actually a B.  The test that we took Friday is not included on our midterm grades, but I got a 104% on that one, so my current grade is probably higher.  All my other midterms range from 96%-99%. All in all, I'm very pleased with how things are going so far.

On a sad note, school lost one of our dogs on Thursday.  Jade was a 3 year old pure bred German Shepard.  We were treating her for  and one of the upper classmen had been approved to adopt her as soon as she was better.  Over the last 2 weeks, Jade became much more quiet and lethargic than normal.  (in medical terms, she was ADR, or ain't doin' right)  Her blood counts were raised and she was put on an antibiotic.  An xray showed something was going on in her lung area, but it appeared a separate issue from her heart worm.  An exploratory surgery was scheduled to get more details.  Unfortunately, as soon as she was opened up, it was discovered both her spleen and her lungs were black with cancer.  Dr. Z. decided right then and there to end her suffering things were way too progressed.  Most of the students come out of our classes to say goodbye to her.  One of the guys in our class, Mike, brought in Snickers and Milky Ways on Friday. He says chocolate cheers girls up.  :-)

Went to a wedding up in Cincy this weekend.  It was very Catholic!  I lost count of how many times the priest mentioned having kids.  I don't think he knew that Kevin doesn't want kids yet since he's still in medical school.  It was very nice seeing a bunch of my old friends.  And of course, seeing Andrew for the first time since Valentines Day.

Getting my birthday present on Friday!  The St. Louis Symphony is playing the entire soundtrack to Fellowship of the Ring. Dad was able to get tickets so we are all going on Friday.  The last 3 seats together for the entire weekend.  Now that is luck!  I'll let you all know how it was!!
