things are so good
literally two weeks now.
I just found an AWESOME apartment that's cheap, in a good neighborhood, close to the subway, spacious, and inhabited by arty film buffs. :D Plus, it's in the building next to where I'm staying.
My job is badass. It's just hostessing, but I had no idea what I was getting into at "Buddakan." It's this huge, fancy schmancy celebrity haunt, the same place where they filmed some of Sex and the City. They're getting me a designer dress to work there. I lucked out...
I'm interviewing for part time gallery internships now, which is superexciting!
But best of all, school started.
I just can't believe I'm finally... in art school. Jesus, I've been working towards this practically all my life. Not to say that I don't have a long, long way to go, but I'm taking credit classes and my professors are real working artists.
Drawing I makes me want to gag, though.
I'm making friends! People are so open here... not unlike Austin, but it just surprised me a bit.
It's sunny and beautiful weather in New York City. Who will visit me first?!
