My home is not a place, it is people
--Loise McMaster Buyold
I seriously can not fucking wait to go home for Thanksgiving. Yeah, I know--me? thanksgiving? hanging around family all day? no, i didn't smoke crack before I wrote this--I actually want to spend time with my family.
Being away from them like this--4 states away (about 8 hrs)--makes me appreciate them waaaayyyy more than I ever did, especially since this will be my first Thanksgiving with my dad since our "falling out".
People here go home a lot during the weekends. I wonder if they go home and quilt/churn butter. They could do that here if they really wanted to, I'd even pitch in and help. It just gets so lonley here sometimes on the weekends.
i think i'm just jealous that they get to go home and I can't.
I like the prefer its the churning butter thing though, because that makes me feel less like a jealous loser.
much love lj.
(p.s. sorry i haven't been posting in this more frequently)
