WANTED: suggestions for an adrenaline junkie

Nov 21, 2008 11:20

A character in a story of mine is quite the adrenaline junkie. I am not. Hence my plea for help for ways to show that the character does things for the thrill of it. He's a working class white American, athletic, mechanically adept, in his late 30s, and lives in a West Coast city.

Here are all of the activities and occupations I could come up with, regardless of whether they fit a city setting. Do you guys like any of them in particular? If you can think of any more please comment. Thanks!

  • riding/racing a motorcycle
  • driving/racing a car
  • acrobatic airplane racing
  • hang gliding
  • skydiving
  • bungee jumping
  • free running
  • BASE jumping
  • caving/spelunking
  • mountain climbing
  • rock climbing
  • urban climbing/buildering
  • rugby
  • hunting dangerous animals
  • snake handling
  • rodeo
  • kickboxing
  • stunt man
  • test pilot/driver
  • cat burglar
  • circus acrobat
  • tightrope walker
  • high voltage power line electrician
