Torchwood blah

Watched season 2 ep 3. Was not impressed. I actually *skipped ahead* a few times because the plot bored me so. The next episode looks promising, though.

I found episode 4 to be gut-wrenching. Eve Myles aptly described the episode as horrific and I couldn't agree more with that description.

Uh oh. Horrific and gut-wrenching as in terrible story and execution, or in a good horror-genre kind of way?

Somehow I think you and Eve meant the former. :(

Actually, I meant the latter. (See my reply to beccacq below.) I'll be curious to hear your reaction to episode four after you watch it.

Oh, cool! I think I already know the mystery. If so I'll probably love/hate the episode. I'll let you know. :)

*Nods.* I've been enjoying the season, but the only bit I remember amusing me in that particular episode was Jack's asking how they could fail with a dashing hero like him and Ianto saying they did have to admit he was dashing. Oh, that and when Owen reacted to it being the end of the world with "Lets all have sex," and Ianto said, "And I thought the end of the world couldn't get any worse." That's all I remember from the third episode.

LOL! I missed the dashing line. I think that the end of the world bit was from ep 1 or two. Whatever the case it goes to show how forgettable that episode was.

D'oh. The "dashing" bit and the "end of the world" bit were both from the second episode. I haven't got the episode order down yet. First episode is "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang" with Captain John Hart which I enjoyed. Second episode is "Sleeper" which I didn't enjoy except for those two bits from it. The third episode was "To the Last Man" which I liked because it made me like Tosh more than I have, and because as much as I don't like Ianto I did enjoy his answering Jack's "Would you miss me?" with the same, "Yup," I did. The fourth episode is "Meat" and I'd guess Amanda means horrific in the "good horror-genre kind of way." How the alien in it is treated is "gut-wrenching."

Yep, that's exactly what I meant, beccadq. I can't get that episode out of my head. I think "Meat" is an episode I will never forget.
