If you're itching for some good sci-fi while the current series are in hiatus, check out the reruns of
Jake 2.0 on the SciFi channel next month. It's basically Spider-man meets the Six Million Dollar Man but with nanites instead of bionics or radioactive spiders. IMO Jake has a similar feel to the (also underrated, but at least ran for two seasons) 2000 series
The Invisible Man: a blend of action, humor, and angst.
In case you need any more reasons to give Jake a try, here are four more. :)
- A few episodes were written and directed by David Greenwalt ("Buffy," "Angel," "The X-Files," "Surface," "Eureka").
- One of the head writers was Javier Grillo-Marxuach ("LOST", "Medium," "The Pretender")
- The show was created/produced/written by Silvio Horta ("Ugly Betty").
- Christopher Gorham, who plays Jake, is geeky-cute. Hell, he's hot.
I've written two Jake fanfics, one of which is actually a spec script. Linkage for your convenience:
"Seeing Is Believing" - Jake 2.0/Invisible Man crossover
"Personal Firewall" spec script - contains SPOILERS through Jake ep 1x06, "Last Man Standing"
